Topic: Van Weelden

Does anybody know if the Van Weelden stays off right up to show time in Joe's rig?  Seems like Dave would bring the double neck E.B. out and do final check and he would turn the Van Weelden on.  Or maybe it just doesn't light up until it's off standby??  I know the other three amps were lit up but not the Twinkleland.

I'm intrigued by these Van Weelden's for sure.

Re: Van Weelden

Last time I saw Joe live I distinctly remember seeing all the lights on.  He used his Jubilee (of course), the Cat 5 JB100, a Carol Ann JB100, and the red Van Weelden w/ silverface cosmetics.  Pretty much his main mac daddy rig.  cool

A shot of Joe's amps 5-10 minutes before the show started on 5/1, all lights on.

Does anyone know why the Category 5 Channel II inputs are used?

Joe plugs his guitar signal into Channel II of the Category 5 plexi and the brighter Channel I is used to amplify the Theremin.
