I disagree! With everyone! Except those who disagreed with somebody else already!  They're all good.   Maybe I'll actually read the whole thread???? By the end of the year for sure...Then I'd disagree with myself???!!!  neutral
I DO agree with Jeff, do NOT knock Hall & Oates or even moreso Huey Lewis! Huey is super, man! He was awesome in the band Clover and even better with The News, who happen to have a badass bassist in Mario Cipollina, brother of John Cipollina, guitraist from Quicksilver Messenger Service ( smile

Little story on Mario. He pleaded with Bill Graham to take his limo back home to Marin Co.(from Concord where Huey played that evening) the night Bill's helicopter went down in nasty weather, to no avail unfortunately.

rpic, Joey left the band not long after Leonard did when they signed w/ Geffen in 86', as they did not want any part of what John Koladner? was trying to do to the band. The road crew also left when Leonard did as well. The loyalty ran deeper than the B.S. Geffen was stereotyping them as and the direction was NOT good. Both played in and produced other bay area bands and Leonard did an album and HUGE tour w/ Ian Gillan 90'-92'. Joey developed a brain tumor, survived surgery and from what I hear through the grapevine...been cancer free for over a decade now. We saw him at the 02'&04' Mystic Theater reunion shows and he was glad to see we made it down from Oregon. Did'nt effect his memory of their trips to Oregon in the 80's and the corruption we instilled.

KENT- Thanks for the Joey and Leo update and a few things about Y&T that I didnt know. I did feel that once the boys started with the spandex they were doomed even though that was the rage at the time. I couldn't stand it myself, always more of a jeans, t-shirt and black leather jacket type.

I also saw Joey at a Mystic Y&T reunion show (not sure what year) he was dining at McNears next to the venue AND played that night (boy that brought back memories). Went up and said hello, super cool dude (showed him some cool photos I had of Y&T from a show at the Old Waldorf back in '80, I believe it was) but didnt dare ask why he wasnt in the band anymore.

I was bummed when Leo was asked to leave the band a few years back. I always thought he was a great drummer.....and when he sang "Alcohol"....priceless.
