I believe it's only possible to listen to one show during each week. The Saturday show is available to listen to on the "Listen Again" button from Saturday to the following Saturday when the next programme is broadcast. Sorry guys.
Phil
Joe’s show on Planet Rock this weekend was one of his best ever, with the music right up my street as we say in the UK.
All the music played had a Southern States flavour and the track list was:
1. Quarryman’s Lament by You Know Who
2. Trvellin’ South (Live) by Albert Collins
3. One Way Out by ABB from the classic Fillmore East Album
4. Large Time (Live) by The Atlanta Rhythm Section
5. (Somebody Else Been) Shaking Your Tree by ZZ Top
6. Fatman In The Bathtub by Little Feat
7. Working For MCA by Lynyrd Skynyrd
8. Georgia On My Mind by Ray Charles
9. Thorn In My Pride by The Black Crows
10. I Get So Weary by BB King
11. World Gone Wild by Gov’t Mule from Joe’s favourite Mule album, Life Before Insanity
12. Hurt by Johnny Cash (interesting one this and better than I thought as he’s not my fave)
13. Dallas by Jonny Winter
You can hear it again anytime until the evening of Saturday, 22nd May on www.planetrock.com or the repeat at 10.00pm UK time on Thursday, 20th May.
Thanks Joe, I really enjoyed it.
Phil
To illustrate the eclectic mix of wonderful tunes to be found on Joe’s iPod, here are Joe’s choices for this week played Saturday, 22nd May 2010.
1. Wandering Earth by You Know Who
2. Gambler, Gambler by Elf in tribute to the great RJD
3. Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City by Bobby Blue Bland
4. Girl From The North Country by Bob Dylan
5. Travelling Riverside Blues by EC from Me & Mr Johnson
6. You Shook Me by The Jeff Beck Group (the one with Jeff’s guitar being sick at the end).
7. Give Me Love (live) by Jeff Lynne
8. Talk To You by The Small Faces (Joe claims that this was recorded before Steve Marriott found his voice. I beg to differ; it just changed with age and over use IMO).
9. Time Makes Two by Robert Cary
10. Higher Places by Glenn Hughes
11. As The Years Go Passing By by Gary Moore (this track jumped!)
12. Children of the Sea (live ) by Black Sabbath (to “bookend” Joe’s tribute to RJD
You can "listen again" by going to the Planet Rock website any time before next Saturday's show.

If like me you are an avid listener to Joe's hour long weekly show on Planet Rock, you will be disappointed to hear that Joe will be moving to a once a month show on Sunday evenings. The time is to be announced, but I suspect it will be 8.00pm UK time and the good news is that it should be a two hour show.
The reason is that Joe's busy touring schedule was making it difficult to fit it in on a weekly basis. Tonight's show was the last weekly programme and it was also a repeat of one from a few months ago. They can't fool me.
Don't forget you can still listen on the Planet Rock Listen Again facility for another week.

Please let us know when you find out Phil...those hours are the absolute BEST for me (with or without daylight savings time), hope you are right!

Ah.... that's a shame, but understandable. Tuesdays were perfect, Saturday... not so.... Sunday better, but may clash with, Top Gear!
And before any mention, iPlayer..... i know!!!
~ Brack ~
No Tuesday is ever perfect for me, closest thing is thinking it was a Monday earlier in the day with enough time to relish THAT thought. September 11, 2001 was a Blue Tuesday. No Joe Planet Rock Show for me on Tuesdays and no Joe chat for me on Tuesdays (anymore ). MANY PERFECT SUNDAYS I've had!!! More on the way. Put Fan chat on Sundays and get rid of the Adobe Flash player requirement for us Apple Corps, more perfect unions indeedy (go ahead, call me greedy)!!!
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Contrary to my previous post saying Joe's new show on Planet Rock would be on a Sunday, Nicky Horne mentioned last night that it will be on the last Saturday of each month.
I'll let you know the time as soon as I hear.
Phil
As promised, Joe's new monthly show on Planet Rock will be on Saturday, 28th May 2010 at 8.00pm UK time.
If you are listening elsewhere in Joe's World, it will be:
3.00pm on the East Coast
2.00pm in Chicago
12.00 midday on the West Coast
9.00pm in Europe (except UK, Ireland & Portugal)
Sadly it's only a one hour show but it is repeated on Wednesdays at 10.00pm, or
5.00pm on the East Coast
4.00pm in Chicago
2.00pm on the West Coast
11.00pm in Europe (except UK, Ireland & Portugal)
Make sure you catch at least one of these times. If you can't there's always the listen again button on http://www.planetrock.com/

I forgot that this weekend just gone was the last Saturday of the month until Mrs W reminded me half way through Joe’s show that he was on at 6pm (she’d heard the trailer earlier in the day ).
In between India/Mountain Time from LFNIP and From The Valley to close (bet that’s a first play on the radio), Joe played the kind of music we love. The first half hour had a distinctly Texan feel and the second half two Free numbers and some Southern Rock – so I was in heaven.
1. India/Mountain Time by Joe
2. Gypsy Blood by Mason Ruffner
3. Tough Enough by The Fabulous Thunderbirds
4. Couldn’t Stand The Weather by SRV
5. Le Grange By ZZ Top
6. Big Legged Woman by Freddie King
7. Walk In My Shadow by Free
8. I’m A Mover by Free
9. Don’t Keep Me Wondering by The Allman Brothers Band
10. I Know A Little by Lynyrd Skynyrd
11. Paranoid by Black Sabbath
12. Cotton Needs Pickin’ by Ry Cooder from the Crossroads Soundtrack
13. From The Valley by Joe
I don’t know when this show was recorded, but Joe was in fine voice. You can catch it on the Planet Rock Listen Again button until next Saturday, 6th November.
Phil
...so glad you posted that Wooders!.... 'Tough Enough'... thats the one i was trying to remember!... now go back to bed!
Hey, Whatsa matter for your Engleashed? It is Tuff Enuff!
Yes I remember Slade (whatever happened to Slade? ), so no grief!
Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Your last chance to listen to our host playing some fine tunes, including Tuff Enuff. Whatever happened to the English language?
Rocket, Noddy Holder can often be heard on the radio in the UK as a guest presenter on various shows and occasionally on TV panel shows. I've no idea what's happened to the rest of Slade .
Phil
It's the Joe time of the month again and Joe is on Planet Rock NOW!
Full track listing later.

Joe will be presenting a special Christmas Blues show on his monthly programme on Planet Rock on Christmas Day. The show will be going out at 7.00pm UK time.
If you are listening elsewhere in Joe's World it will be:
2.00pm on the East Coast
1.00pm in Chicago
11.00am on the West Coast
8.00pm in Europe (except UK, Ireland & Portugal)
So you can listen to Joe while you are opening your presents, having Christmas lunch or flaked out on the sofa depending on where in the world you are.
Sadly, it doesn't look like there will be the usual repeat of the show on the following Wednesday, so listen on Christmas Day or listen again on the Planet Rock website www.planetrock.com
Happy Christmas everyone.
Phil

I think that show was a repeat. It was that Steven Stills guitar story i recall. If you think I'm wrong, or right, let me know.
The Steven Stills story may have been told before but the show definitely wasn't a repeat. The Greg Allman track is from his new album that's only been out around a month, besides which, if you listen to the show, Joe says:
"I'm back. This is the first show of 2011. Thank you very much to Planet Rock. Thank you very much to all the fans out there for supporting our shows year after year. I'm very honoured to be back on the air. Up next a brand new track called "Just Another Rider" from my friend Greg Allman who has a fantastic new album called 'Low Country Blues' ............."
Check it out now as you can still listen to the show online.
