Re: Stoney Curtis band

Curtis just posted on FB that the earliest seat he can get back is on the 25th. Looks to be a few shows getting cancelled. All of the Missouri ones for sure. Curtis was very interested in doing a tour late this summer into autumn so those cancelled shows may get rescheduled.

If you know of any good blues bars in the midwest and east that may be interested in booking him, you can email him at stoneycurtisband@aol.com  (or me through the forum and I'll pass it along). Let the venue management know about the youtube videos of him or turn them on to his myspace page where he's got some of his signature songs set up for streaming.

Re: Stoney Curtis band

Sorry people I forgot to tell how the Stoney night in Rhede was on this forum. Did write it on www.bluesmagazine.nl just after the show.
I made some pics and they are on bluesmagazine and Stoney put mine on his website as well.

In short : It was a great great night. Rudi, Johan and I (the Gang as Stoney calls us) arrived at six. He was doing the soundcheck and we had a drink with Andre Knoch the owner of the venue BLUES. After a very warm welcome,  band and we went to the Italian restaurant Casa Antica for an Italian meal. We did the interview there and had a  great time.

Then back to BLUES for the show. Stoney's powerblues blew the roof off! Great show, almost 3 hours. Peope were very impressed.
Andre Knoch said it as only german will understand: Es war SUPERGEIL! and next year he will play BLUES again.
After the show we had another nice talk and then 3 very satisfied persons drove back to Holland in the middle of the night!

Read up a few posts in the thread. Curtis has already said that he will try to rebook some of the shows that had to be cancelled when he was stranded in Germany by "the volcano with the unpronounceable name". I think shows in K.C and Chicago are in the works so it's not a stretch to get him up into Wisconsin.

Go to your favorite blues bar and turn the management onto his sound (his 3 CDs are all available on amazon.com) and they can contact Curtis for bookings at stoneycurtisband@aol.com  Good luck!

I hope this works... Curtis just posted this on FB,

Re: Stoney Curtis band

Stoney is playing a club in Lansing,IL on September 11th for any Midwest fans that want to see him. Deacon Mike and myself with be making the trip (about 2-1/2hrs one way) and it will be well worth it. I have seen Stoney on his home turf in Vegas a couple of years ago and it was great.

Looks like he has an open week after that date so this would be the time to bug your local clubs to book him.

Caught the Stoney Curtis Band live in Illinois last weekend. Second time I've seen them. Great show. What a talented guitarist. If the opportunity presents itself this is a MUST see.

Re: Stoney Curtis band

New LIVE album (CD + DVD) available for pre-order from amazon.com - this was a show SCB did in conjunction with Eric Gales at Santa Rosa, CA in May of 2011. Both artists are signed to Shrapnel Records. I was not at the show but I understand that both artist's sets were recorded. I see that Eric has a live CD due out next week so it looks like Mike Varney has been busy. I'm hoping each will appear on the other's release.

Re: Stoney Curtis band

Got the DCD/CD today and really a great rocking one. Stoney is on fire again! I like the hardrocking guitarwork very much.
Great stuff for in the car or while cleaning the house when you need some POWER!
