Topic: MAGIC AMP ALERT!!!

For anyone in the Central Florida region, there is a real deal 1969 Marshall Super Tremolo 100 just like what Eric Johnson uses/used for his lead tones for sale at the Winter Park Sam Ash.  I went to check out the Keeley Compressor they had there and I was mentioning my Metro to the manager and he said, "Check this out".  I guess Ritchie Kotzen is coming to that store Monday and they were breaking it out from behind the case to set up for his clinic.  I just so happened to be the lucky guy that could give that amp a little workout before hand!  Easily one of the most insane sounding amplifiers I've ever heard in my life.  I'd pay the asking $4200 price tag without blinking....it's that good.  I'm just so happy with my Metro and it's REAL close.  Not bad for a brand new amp!  I just figured that if there was anyone in the Central Florida region with more money than Donald Trump they could buy that amp and enjoy one of few absolute magical vintage Plexis out there.

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

I might just jump on a plane - my inlaws have a condo in Florida! Did you like the Keeley comp? I had a 2-knob version - it didn't do anything for me.

Re: MAGIC AMP ALERT!!!

Yeah the Keeley is a nice pedal albeit a little overpriced IMO.  Certainly not a magic pedal or everything it's hyped up to be online (then again what is).  I like how it evens out the attack and helps me get my pseudo EJ lead tone easier.  I almost have all of the engredients for "the old tone".  Marshall '69 Superlead, BK Butler Tube Driver, Maestro EP3 Echoplex (need), reverb, and compressor.  Added bonus it sounds very interesting in front of my old Super Reverb too.  The Super is already pretty compressed due to the tube rectifier and being cranked up some.  Overall I like the pedal but it's not a game changer.  I really hope when I get an EP3 that lives up to the hype!
