Topic: My BLUES DELUXE REISSUE is better than all these loud marshalls amps!!

I tried several marshalls all tube amps and found they were too loud and less articulate than my blues deluxe reissue which is a miracle/
Easy to use, pretty good sound, not too loud ,not too heavy little combo,a rubbish gain chanel but never mind  for it likes pedals , good with fulldrive mosfet 2, very good look and solid

I found the ideal amp, so get rid of your rubbish marshall amps that will make you deaf and are only noise!!!!!

Re: My BLUES DELUXE REISSUE is better than all these loud marshalls amps!!

To each his own. I have one of them too and run it naked on the clean channel with my Telecaster. Nashville twang. It takes a bit of tweaking to get anything close to what I consider a "bluesy" sound.  Every amp make and model has it's pluses and minuses. About all I use these days is my Jet City 20 W half stack. I can dial in just about any tone I want without pedals and it won't shatter the windows or my eardrums. I'm just waiting until the Jet City 50 watt head comes out with the Soldano overdrive channel. Should be any day now. That one may have the window panes in peril.

I'm glad for you that you found your holy grail.
But why should it make me (or anyone else) sell my Marshall?
For me personally the BD was absolutely useless unless I played a relative clean strat.
then it was brilliant.  But everything that goes to semi crunch (no matter with peds or dist channel)
sounded fizzy, boxy and undefined. Didn't really work for me.

Before this thread goes postal lets all try to avoid the MY AMP IS BETTER THAN YOUR AMP argument.  Its a stupid agrument and it makes no sense.

I like Vox amps.  Some people hate them. Others love Fender, Others will never love anything but a Marshall. Some dont care about the amp at all.

Some people love modeling amps, Others love solid state.

Lets keep on encouraging each other to find cool amps and give each other ideas to improve our tone.  Thats why I come here instead of the Gear Page.

I have learned so many tricks to improve my sound.  Let keep it kind and not go down this narrow minded trail.

NO WAY!  The Funky Dr of Love plays through a 1200 watt Kustom Groove amp with 3 15' Eminence and two Horns and I put one of them right behind the guitar player.   tongue

My Amp is BETTER than your pansy crap.   lol

My Car has 500 HP, too.... and if you want to measure... um...yeah those...

I'm glad you found an amp that you enjoy however having both a blues deluxe and a marshall 1974x I'm afraid that I'm inclined to disagree smile

The BD is brilliant for clean sounds and takes pedals well, the BD with my 335 is heaven! but when I compare it to the marshall its like chalk and cheese they are very different and both give something different to the table... Infact that marshall is the more pick dynamic and articulate amp I have atm its also the nicest sounding out of the both... The bd got dropped from gigs because its too heavy and because the marshall just purely outshines it...

Anyhow to each his own but if you ever get chance go and try the 1974x smile

Re: My BLUES DELUXE REISSUE is better than all these loud marshalls amps!!

I like the tone of my blues deluxe, it's been my amp for a long time. but i'd have a marshall if i could afford it. that's the sound i always want to achieve. wish i win the lottery and get a 1974x and have my BD for cleans and the marshall for drive.

I've actually just borrowed a A/B/Y box from a friend at work hopefully they will compliment each other really well. TBH though I love the cleans on the marshall just a shame its next to impossible to keep them clean lol

That's right,I agree!I must admit that I did it on purpose!!!!I'm fed up with all these sterile speeches about gear, so what I wanted to do is make you react by using one way arguments and it worked, it's far better interesting to improve and suggest answers!!!!!!

If you are looking for that IMO you are on the wrong forum.  I can direct you to The Gear Page where inflammatory and shortsided arguements happen everyday.  This forum is a breathe of fresh air because everyone is so cool and can SHARE gear experiences.  I know you were probably kidding around but c'mon man, there are plenty of "my amp is better than your amp" forums out there... hmm

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

in the end

there is no mine is better than your's as i keep seeing with the cool topics that come up here its clear every bit of gear is cool its down to the user at the end of the day. even if you have set up your gear an exact copy of Mr B your not going to sound like him lol so all the gear is good i think smile
