That'll go a long way to apologizing!  I have never seen so many Boston hats as I did when I did a business trip.

Awestruck

Re: Boston, MA - April 28

I was front row dead center and the show was unbelievable. I had 3 bonavirgins with me and their mouths were open the whole time. I got Joe's set list and Bogie was kind enough to give me his drum stick. One of my friends was so excited becuse Joe's sweat was dropping in his beer. I rate this show as an 11. Joe was gracious about having to cancel and he left it all on the stage. The one thing about Joe is he never phones it in!!!!!

Re: Boston, MA - April 28

No goldtop, but lots of other nifty guitars - I especially like the blue jblp.

The whole evening was awesome, as usual.  (Except Joe forgot to wear his purple sneakers!)  I am amazed how even the older songs sound new because Joe is always changing things up.  Heartaches were Nickles is breathtaking in its current form - the solo in the middle is other-wordly.  Like the new stuff, too.  Bird on a Wire is so beautiful, did some head-banging and thought of Jane and Rocket while doing so during Blue and Evil, and really liked Young Man's Blues live (had only heard on youtube and wasn't crazy about it).

Indoctrinated a new bonavirgin, I think his jaw is back in place today, got some pictures (see the photo section), and had an all around great night.

Joe was his usual gracious self after the show, I was amazed at the size of the crowd waiting for him, but he took time for everyone and said his usual "thanks for coming."  That is so nice to see in this day and age.  Joe signed a photo book for me (hope you like it), and Mr Meerkat enjoyed the show and got his Flying V signed.

Jeff - I never saw your brother (was looking for someone who looked like you), but did meet up with JBRules and his posse, also met a few others, including the guys from CarolAnn Amps - if you guys read this, check out the pics - that little blue light shows up very well!

Thanks you Joe, Bogie, Rick, Carmine, Warren, Dave, Colin and Aaron and the rest of the entourage - can't wait for the next round.

Sandy

edit to add:  have no fear that Joe is turning in to a Sox fan - he threw the shirt into the audience at the end of the show!

Fantastic Sandy. I know you've been waiting a while to see Joe again - glad you had such a great time

Re: Boston, MA - April 28

This was my first show, totally blown away  cool Was the "o" woman the one who wouldn't shut it during the acoustic instrumental? Joe actually shushed her from the stage, hilarious  yikes

I don't think she "shut it" for most of the show!

Glad you enjoyed your bonabaptism!  Going to Hampton Beach in November?

Re: Boston, MA - April 28

Hi Sandy, I am hoping to go to Hampton Beach in November. Only problem is, I am a culinary student and I may be away on externship at that time (Napa Valley cool ). I am going to try my best to be there though, Boston was one heck of a show. I got a cute pic of me and Joe afterwards. Totally amazed by how nice and approachable he was.

Look for a show in California around then - there will probably be something around there if Joe is touring the states ( I know lots of people on here who won't be very happy if he doesn't get to that area).  It's fun seeing Joe in different areas - gives you a chance to meet up with other fans, and also you can convince some of your new friends at school to go with you.  My son's girlfriend went to see Joe in Italy when she was doing her semester abroad and had a great time.  Once you've got the bug your going to put a lot of miles on your car, and probably rack up some frequent flyer miles, too.  Joe shows are very addicting.

Hi OperaAce. There is a lot of hot music action in the Bay Area and quite a contingent of fans there. It is not that far from Napa down to where the action is, maybe an hour or so drive. Check with J Dawg as time approaches.
