Topic: Congrats to Tommy Castro & Band

As mentioned Tommy was the big winner @ the BMA's in Memphis Thur. night in these 4 categories:  1) BB King Entertainer of the Year

                   2) Band of the Year

                   3) Contemporary Blues Album of the Year/Hard Believer
(saw that comin' the first time I listened to it)

                   4) Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year

Congratulations to Tommy and the Band. They've been workin' their collective a$$es off for years now and deserve the recognition.

It's a beautiful & convenient thang. Got Tommy shows comin' up in June, July, & August. Just like Joe it never gets old. June & July are shoutin' distance and Aug. is a weekend in the Sierra's for Fire On The Mountain with Tommy, Roy Rodgers, Rick Estrin, and plenty more. Just checked & the others include, Jason Ricci, Laurie Morvan, Deanna Bogart, & Big Mo' w/ Volker Strifler.

I'll see Tommy for the first time on Thursday when he starts his UK tour. Can't wait!

Don't forget yer dancin' shoes Dunc, and get ready to BOOGIE!!!! I'm sure you'll report all the details. I'm dying to find out how he's received, not that it's the first time across the pond for the TCB, but it's been awhile and they're doin' more shows than in the past.

I'll see him in Schoeppingen at the Grolsch Blues Festival 22/23 May. Will try to interview him for www.bluesmagazine.nl

He deserves all!
