Topic: Our "I don't believe" Cover - Zoom H2 recorder

Hi there,

We made a first recording with our new Zoom H2 field recorder. Here's our version of "I don't believe". We were pretty loud by the way...

Hey Jimi, you would do better by placing it in the other artists section.

Sounds great, you guys sound like a fun band to see.
The zoom h2 is a great little recorder, nothing too fancy, just an accurate representation of what an audience would hear.

I would go to a live gig of that smile Lovely guitar work! The sound of those drums actually sounds pretty good. Getting a good drum sound has always eluded me hmm Nice vocals too smile
With some refining to the recording technique and some work on the levels for the tracks, I would listen to it as part of my daily motions  cool Great work!

Hey Jimi,

really pleased you put this up. I've got an H2 on order and I was really impressed with the quality of this recording for what was a 'live' take.

Just what I am looking for. Did you guys do anything special regarding prep for the room, had you already tested various layouts for the sound etc, or was it just plug and play?

As for the cover this was nicely done. Good playing with a real good feel and a swing to it. If I can get anything like as good a recording I'll happily put something up here. Thanks for sharing

We actually bought the unit at that same day, so it was pure plug and play. No special preparation of the room, just a usual rehearsal room in "tube" form.
We overflew the manual once, put it on 90 degrees front record, low cut on volume and there you go. I am sure you can even get better quality, but for the first try I think it's very nice.
