Alan thats exactly why I dont use mine..... I had rehearsals up on the top floor of a club, I had to carry it up to my room every night, eventually I pulled my back lifting it into a van lol. That amp will give you the blues
You can try and rest it on your knee as you walk, remember to always bend your knees when you pick it up!
You can replace the metal feet with casters to push it around aswell
...part of the reason why I sold my Silver Jub 2x12
My drummer and I are actually considering a handicap accessible bus to carry our equipment. Think about it, it has the handicap wheelchair lift to get heavy equipment into the bus (That will have all the seats taken out. It'll also have a mean metallic blue with flames paint job, and Bluesrollers written on the side. Its design is a whole thread unto itself ) Might give you some ideas for carrying that badboy around
Is that Fender Blues Deluxe just a 1x12? How heavy could it be?
52 lbs yet!
Go to a Luggage Store and get a Luggage Dolly. Just Bungee Cord your Amp to it, and roll it right onto the Stage. You don't even have to ever remove it from the Dolly, you can just leave it Bungee'd to the Dolly, forever.
ok,
you can either put wheels on the bottom, or you can get one of those nifty carts at LOWES or Home Depot. My dad got one for his speaker cabinets. You still have to lift up stairs. But if will at least get you to the stairs without much work.
My Vox AC30 is around 80 and my Twin is around 75ish. I bought the AC15 which is around 40 to be my light easy to carry amp.
Another option if you have the money is to get a head and 2x12 speaker cab. Thats another way to reduce weight.
Good luck.
Like some of the others said, you can get a small hand cart that folds up when not being used so it will fit easily in your car or you can get a luggage cart. Home Depot or Lowe's should have the small foldable hand carts. I got one at Lowe's.
52lbs? I had the JubJub at 77lbs!
Who here has tried to push an Ampeg 8x10 up a few flights at 165lbs? Yup, no thanks.
I'm off to the gym...
hire a roady... or buy a buddy a beer to haul it for ya
