Re: Buddy Whittington

Buddy is awesome and a real nice guy too. He blew Gary Moore off the stage when he supported him at Wolverhampton, UK. His CD is well worth getting, great song writer.

Ha hes gone up even more in my estimation if thats the case, anyone who shows up Gary Moore needs our praise lol. Not only is that technically brilliant but you know with Gary being a little on the surely side more than warranted  lol

Count me as a fan. Great player whom I had the opportunity to see last November at Leamington Spa. I think he was with Mayall for something like 18 yrs. Love the CD too! Cathy

Re: Buddy Whittington

On the night he blew Gary off the stage, most who were there would agree. Buddy was into pleasing the crowd and enjoying it. Gary was not.

I know I've got opinions, but most times they fall on deaf ears - especially with my sixteen year-old.
Like Jeff said, there's little similarity with the two except that  both are accomplished players.  I prefer Buddy's style, but own a fair amount more of Gary's music (no pun intended).

Re: Buddy Whittington

Chalk and Cheese - I'm not sure you can compare the two as their styles are so different - Buddy's last album, although very good, is a lot more mellow than a Gary Moore album, like Bad for you Baby. Having seen Gary a couple of weeks back in London and having seen Buddy a few times in the last couple of years, if the two were playing a small London venue on the same night, I'd go and see Gary.........
