Topic: Joe's concert in Ulm, Germany, June 5th
Hi every(bona)body,
on Joe's tour page it says "06/05/10 ULM, GERMANY ULM TENT FESTIVAL 12:00". Is that noon or midnight?
As this is a tent festival, I think both could be possible...
Any idea?

Hi Günter,
danke für die Info.
20:00 - that's the 3rd possibility. Confusing...
Aber ich denk mal, die Ulmer werden es schon am besten wissen. Ein Flohmarkt ist da auch noch? Cool!

The tent festival is a kind of "alternative" festival with lots of food.
I was there some years ago for Steve Winwood. If it's still at the same location near the Expo between Ulm and Neu-Ulm, directly on the Danube, that's very nice and easy to reach ...
I wish everybody a happy day there - we'll be in Munich with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood on that day, but we already booked Joe at the tent festival at the Homberg castle in Tuttlingen.
Ticket sales startet on Friday and it's like Günter said: The show starts at 8 pm.
We got us 2 tickets. Anybody else going? Is there already a thread about the Ulm concert I don't know of?
Looking forward to meeting some forum members there...
@wolfi: I hope you'll have lots of fun in Munich and Tuttlingen.

Wow, what a great show this was! I really loved Joe's show in Mannheim, Germany last November, but I liked the gig in Ulm much better.
Great playing and the band was in very good mood. So was the crowd. We cheered for every solo. Joe talked a lot to the audience: e.g. that they've been touring for 15 weeks, that he had a sinus infection, that he drank 100,000 Diet Cokes during the tour, ...
Before the concert we were concerned that the band might be a little tired after such a long tour. But no - they really rocked the house/tent! After 3 or 4 songs the sound was really good.
I've never seen Joe play that many guitars before. He brought 2 double neck guitars. One with a baritone neck for BOJH and one with a 12-string neck for Ball Peen Hammer. And I really loved his cherry red ES 355.
The only two drawbacks:
1. It was so freaking hot in that tent, that we nearly melted! I don't know how Joe could keep his jacket on for most of the show...
2. The tour bus was parked in a fenced-in area behind the tent. So we couldn't catch the band to ask for autographs. Rick showed up after the gig and was so nice to sign our Black Rock CD cover. He expressed his envy of our nice European deluxe edition. The other band members didn't show up, unfortunatelly.
There are already some nice videos from the show on YouTube. For example:

Thanks Joe + band + rest of the crew for this great show!
BTW - before the show I heard someone explain to his friend that Joe Bonamassa was the exact opposite of Gary Moore: Like beeing nice and positive and so on.
