Re: Peekskill, N.Y.

Yup Mr. Burning Face was sizzling hot tonight, that's for sure!  I'm exhausted from an already long weekend, so I'm going to keep this short...what an amazing show.  In a crowd of several thousand Joe and the guys have the power to mesmerize me, forgetting everyone around me, just totally absorbing the music...all I can say is THANK YOU.   cool

Re: Peekskill, N.Y.

Excellent! After sitting on pins and needles since hearing Joe was under the weather our "posse", some that were neebies, were a little nervous heading over from CT Saturday. We were looking forward to seeeing Joe of course but were hoping we did not have to carry his vocals. Boy were we impressed...
Mr Burning Face, as he called himself, did not disappoint. I can't imagine feeling lousy and still being able to go and perform at a 100%.
The theatre, an oldie but fairly well perserved venue, was intimate - guessing 1000-1200 and maybe a couple of empties but sold out. Time # six to see Joe and it keeps getting better and better. Young man Blues, being a huge Who fan, was a mind blower. The crowd sincerely appreciated that tune as they did the entire night.
After 35 yrs of seeing live shows we witnessed something never seen before by these eyes - during Woke up the power of Joe was revealed. The paint actually started falling from the ceiling! Coincidence? Maybe but I would like to believe otherwise.
Just Got Paid was the perfect encore - crowd on their feet and Joe runnng around like a crazy man.
Joe - we had a crowd of ten who will be back witha  larger group next you are in the area.
Went back to the hotel lobby and commenced to watch Royal Albert long into the a.m.
THANKS for continued fond memories...

Re: Peekskill, N.Y.

Thanks! Great reports all. Joe is amazing the way he can do it even when he is under the weather. We had the same in Bakersfield. Peeling the paint off the walls seems de rigeur for every show now. I guess you should feel lucky the roof stayed on and only bits of plaster were shaken loose. If he were healthier, he would have blown it off.  lol
