Hank Shizzoe

He is already around for about 15 years but I didn´t have him on my screen (as so many people): Hank Shizzoe. He´s a Swiss guy and plays a wonderful (slide) guitar. Listening to him you hear Ry Cooder, Sonny Landreth (with whom he made an album), Mark Knopfler, Ali Farka Toure (with whom he played live), but always played in a distinct personal way.

I saw him live yesterday in a fascinating 3 hours show with a second guitar player, a terrific standing bass player and drums. Even if you can´t see him live try his new album "Breather", maybe David Lindley´s "When a Boy gets Boobs" or "Svalutation" - Adriano Celentano goes bluesrock -in Italien lyrics.
