my brother is going, don't think he is too happy though. U2 are ok, I like Muse but he hates them, Stevie Wonder is a legend but for the mostpart there is a lot of indie dross that neither of us care for. Am gutted that he will get to see Slash play mind.
You have Jackson Browne, Ray Davies, Willie Nelson, Seasick Steve (whom he already saw there in 2008 but is very good live), maybe the Black Keys, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Dr John, Richard Thompson, The Blues Band, etc. So there are a few bits but not a patch on say High Voltage imo, not like seeing Neil Young or CSN last year or even The Boss for that matter or even Status Quo or Nick Cave. Or 2008 with John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Eric Bibb, Joan Baez, Andy Fairweather Low, Leonard Cohen or even My Morning Jacket, Kings Of Leon or Crowded House, The Verve or even Neil Diamond.
This year just looks a bit 'meh' to me.
One saving grace however is the as of yet unnanounced lineup for the new Jazz and Blues tent - with acts like Oli Brown. Bex Marshall, King King, Ainsley Lister etc - should at least keep him occupied
I think there's enough for everyone's taste. Joe should try to get on the bill sometime!
