Woo Hoo. Felt the original, but none of the aftershocks.
For those around the globe not all that familiar with Eqrthquakes, this main event was stronger than the quake that hit Haiti where over 250,000 lives have been lost, however, reports as of this morning are that there are 2 fatalities from this event. One from a collapsed building and the other from a person being struck by a car as he was escaping his home. I suspect that number will climb somewhat thought the next few days, but the devistation is nothing compared to what it could have been. The area hit by this quake has a low population density and very few high buildings.
By other contrast, the quake that hit Chile, was over 50 times stronger than this one.
