Topic: Joe's original goldtop?

I remember reading an interview where Joe talks about the guitar in his dad's shop that was the inspiration for his signature Gibson. He said it was a goldtop with black pickgaurd and black plastic pickup surrounds. could this be it?http://www.vintageguitars.net/products/dispProd.cfm?id=186658

Re: Joe's original goldtop?

That appears to be a really nice real deal '57 Goldtop.  The guitar that Joe once had when he was a kid was a '55 or so Goldtop that originally had P90s but was routed for humbuckers.  It also had been abused pretty badly having had multiple breaks in the headstock/neck. I guess Joe said that the previous owners painted it black to hide the breaks.  That '57 is a sweet axe no doubt though, I'm sure it's fetching over $100K +

I guess #52 really will look more like that old guitar in that shop now.
