Topic: Another American Adventure

...for this old man! In less than 10 nights - ok, in nine nights - I'll be heading to the US for another visit to Camp Cathy, this time including two Joe shows (Wilmington and Harrisburg) and my first Sonny Landreth show. Looking forward to seeing some faces again and others for the first time.

Pictures and ramblings will be posted from time to time.

Re: Another American Adventure

G Dawg, you and Sis need to get your butts out here to God's country for a visit. You'd need at least a couple of weeks or more to scratch the surface, oh and Disneyland too!

Yes, the Golden State is waiting. Yesterday, 79 degrees, light breeze, laying on the sand at the beach. Nothing like it.

I´m sure the two of you will have the greatest time ... don´t forget to power-wash Cathy´s deck ... say hi to Jim and the guitars for me... have fun at the Joe and Sonny shows ... and don´t let Cathy wait for you at the wrong platform!!

Isn´t it the best feeling when the countdown is down to 9?  wink

To paraphrase an old annoying saying (especially if one has kids):

Are you there yet?

Sandy

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.

Re: Another American Adventure

I must have done something right.  big_smile

Now safely in the Maryland woods, I was clearly on one of the last flights out of Schiphol early this morning before air travel in north-west Europe shut down due to the Icelandic ash. The flight I was on today has been canceled for tomorrow, so - my good fortune is in large part down to the fact that I wanted to be here in good time for my first Sonny Landreth show tomorrow night.

Right now, life is very good.  wink

(I have started the hug deliveries, but will have to space them out due to there being so many!)  tongue

Re: Another American Adventure

Dare I say it.......OK you lucky Dawg. Now who knows if you'll make it back on schedule. Just watched a volcanologist in Iceland on the CBS News say it could stop tomorrow or maybe in a month. More luck? You make the call Geo., glad you made it. You were the first thing that crossed my mind when I heard the reports about air travel being crippled. Enjoy your stay however long it becomes.
