Re: Tiger & The Masters

Jeez!!! I wish I'd laid some money on Tiger shootin' a 68 like I mentioned earlier, cuz that's exactly what he did. That was the first time he'd shot under 70 in the first round at Augusta. It was all about the game down there today and nothing more. The gallery had nothing but support for Tiger. And OMG did it look stupendous on my new TV!!!! I'm a little choked up(Lol), this is my first Masters in High Definition.

I just saw on the news that a plane did actually fly over with a banner that read, "SEX ADDICT- YEAH RIGHT- SURE ME TOO!" If he does win I wonder what kind of reactions it may result in. Have yet to hear anything regarding Tiger traveling with any bodyguards.

Awesome Rick, I go back to the non hi-def ESPN feed just to see how crappy the picture looks once in awhile. Occasionally somebodies mug comes on that God didn't create for hi-def big screens. Watching baseball is great too, you can actually see the blades of grass in the field at times. I may never leave the house, time for TV rehab, I said NO, NO, NO!!!

You make some good points Jeff.  Geez, I always knew Rush was a blowhard (no pun intended), but not a freak....guess I'll leave it at that.
Back to TW, I don't think his wife or any wife would get married thinking/knowing  their fiance was a sexual addict.  We do, after all, live in a world with AIDS.
I guess the thing that bothers me the most is our children no longer have role-models.  Tiger was more than just the face of golf - he epitomized acomplishment.  He was my idol, but now he's just another reminder of our society's deterioration.
Like Deezer (who I greatly respect) I'll not comment further on this subject.

Well spoken, Jeff. Sex addiction seems to be the most fashionable excuse for an unmature personality. Shifting the blame from responsibility to pathology.

It's all about ego and getting back in the saddle for this chump.  If he were changing, he'd go for the priority at home and golf could be no less boring than it ever was with him.  I think he should use his real name from now on, except...no need to be wearing the little r...

They're available in stores here already for twice the price of plasma & LCD sets. Sony has a 46" exactly like the one we just bought with internet wi-fi capability for an extra $1500.00, I don't think so. I think the 3D fad will come & go rather quick, it gives me a headache when I've watched it in theaters.

the whole course is beautiful as usual. I watched in HD for the first time last year, but now am upgraded to a 42" 1080p, and it is amazing for baseball. funny there dawg, some faces do not come off well in HD. not a real TW fan, but hold nothing against him for the sex sabbatical. those are his demons to deal with, just want to see him come back and play well for the sake of the other players and the tour as a whole. found some live streaming of just TWs group on espn today, hope the boss doesn't mind some down time. he just hit one over some trees to within 8 feet of the cup, similar to the crazy hook shot he made yesterday from off the fairway. he seems to play better on 2nd and 3rd shots if he has a bad lie. now that is some serious golf for someone who has not competed this year.

Re: Tiger & The Masters

Had to bounce back and forth between the Masters and the Giants home opener, both looked ab fab. Just put the 32" to use in the bedroom and have Jeff Beck @ Ronnie Scott's in my face as I post. Lovin' Tai's facial expressions as she brings it from the bottoms, she looks even younger in HD.

AH, hate to see a controversial call decide a 13 inning game like today's Braves/Giants duel. Rowand said on the post game he knew he caught McCann with his bat, but didn't get in front of the plate and that's why the umps saw it that way as well. Lincecum goes Sun., but it may be raining if the weather service gets it right.

The novelty came and went pretty quickly in the Fifties and I'm sure history will repeat itself.
I have two large HD sets, but will be watching the action this weekend on my 7 inch Sony.  It's located about fifteen feet from the garage fridge if you get my meaning.

So by what you said Curby, I'm assuming you'll be out in the garage getting all of the gardening tools and lawn mower ready for full time use, right? wink Or wait, you'll be working on the compressor for the fridge, right? lol

You know, before you work on the compressor, maybe you should get all of that cold beer out of the way. big_smile
