Topic: FINALLY!!!
I had said I would post the pictures of this guitar once it was finished.
I've been told it's been shipped out to me today.
Let me know what you lot think of this.

What are we looking at here?
A custom made relic strat body?
Is it modeled after a certain one?

I'm glad to see that you got it.
Don't have it yet
It's being shipped today. I'll put up a few pics once I've put everything together.
Hey was that Les paul in your photo album yours? The one with the flame top. That was sexy! The other LP was nice too, but I had to stop and grin at the other one.
I WISH the flametop one was mine! haha
I had that there for a reason, I forget the reason now. Probably just that it's the best looking les paul I've ever seen!
Well, so much for it being sent by courier directly. He claimed on monday it was going to be shipped out on tuesday. I still don't have it and now it's a bank holiday weekend.
What do I believe has happened? Who knows...
God knows he's not given me any reason to trust him!
Has it come in yet? update?
It arrived yesterday.
It's awful!
You can see it on the site now. www.relicguitarstudio.com
Black Strat, that's the very one. It hasn't been sanded right at all!
Can you send it back Jimi??
Thats the problem with the net you never know who you can trust I guess...
Trying to get it sent back but the guy isn't being too cooperative.
I'm in touch with trading standards though.
let me know how you get on jimi, if you want a relic'd body you could try finding a highway strat body on ebay, they are cellulose and wear quite nicely the only problem is you have to do the playing to wear it my sunburst looks great now I compared it with a new one in a shop the other day its amazing what wearing a shirt / wearing a jumper can do to buff an instrument!
Sorry to hear about your situation. The site looks nice and all but you know what they say about judging books by it's cover. I recently dealt with Matt Jenny's shop MJ Tele, they specialize in custom aged guitar finishes aswell. While they're website looks pretty basic they were exceptional to deal with. Fast communication and sent pics whenever I asked. I spoke with them quite a few times on the phone as well to discuss details. I opted out of the relic part of the paint job though. I sent them the body of my 1978 Strat to restore the original color which a previous owner had stripped and they did a great job.

I've seen these guys on ebay and I've been tempted by a shell pink body for AGES, so its nice to hear that they churn out good stuff. Now if only import duties wasn't so high in the UK :s
www.relicdeluxe.com Just find you a used one and follow the directions on this site. Best way to get a good relic is do it yourself. I did with my Les Paul and the cat that won it on ebay said he loved it and thought it was a much older guitar at first then I listed it as.

It looks to be painted black with no coats of clear on it?
