Topic: What settings for Boss RV5?

Hi.

I'm sitting in waiting for the postman to bring me my new DD3 and RV5.  I know Joe sets his dd3 to 12 o'clock for each dial.  Does anyone know how I should set my Rv5 to get the Bonamassa type of sound?  Hurry up postman!!!! smile

Thanks

Re: What settings for Boss RV5?

I dont know Joes settings but I use the room reverb on rv5- time @11 oclock tone 12, level 2 oclock good starting point  (in effectsloop of amp)

Re: What settings for Boss RV5?

Thanks for this! I've had a bit of time to experiment now and got some good sounds.  I tried Joes DD3 settings and that was too much delay for me, sound was just a mess of notes.  I also didn't realise how quickly these pedals go through batteries.  I thought both my pedals had broken the day I got them as the RV5 packed up about an hour into playing and the DD3 a little after that.  By a weird coincidence so did my TU2 and Hotwired pedal.  I checked the batteries power using a volt meter and they've only gone down to about 7 volts, yet they won't work.  Is this normal?!?! I think I'm going to have to get a pedal power unit.  I may take the plunge and get the PP2.

Im lucky to get an hour out of my dd3 lol smile

Both these pedals eat batterys big time get a power supply!

Joe uses his boss dd3 in the loop of the jubilee so he has another amp on at the same time which helps to water the sound down but still gives that E Johnson type delay , if you are using only 1 amp then adjust the delay volume to suit. try  the first to knobs at 9 0clock
