Topic: Joe's Pedalboard

Hello happy people smile
Joe has got few pedalboards as I've noticed. The big/main one:

The smaller one that he had last year in Europe

http://picasaweb.google.pl/ForumSuwalki … 9134245410
I also saw it on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieuHIwx3Qhg
Can somebody tell me what pedals were used in it?
I see Boss CH-1, Ts 808 and DD-3 for sure, and Ernie Ball wah?

And Joe is using a third one in Australia now. Is it now his main board?

And again... pedals big_smile If somebody know please let me know:)
I see
-custom crybaby
-TS 808
- Way Huge Pork Loin
-custom FuzzFace
-Aqua puss RI? Way Huge of course
-DD-3
-Boss chorus
-Phase 90 ( script logo Ri?)
and there's pedal which I can't recognise... It looks similar to MXR blue box but it's probably something else, because it's  bigger than phaser...

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

In the last photo, the one you think might be a blue box is an mxr micro flanger. Has that grey colour to it and block logo.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

In which songs is Joe using all these ,,new" pedals?

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Here is a Picture of the currant Fly Pedal board. He is using this in Australia, Japan & any Fly date he has. There are 3 different Pedal boards. USA, Europe & this one. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk88 … CN0256.jpg

It needs tidying up. I'll do it.....for a fee....

Strangest thing is, once you've finished a pedal board, you breathe a sigh of relief, swearing you'll never do it again. A week later you start planning the new one.................

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

But when is He using these pedals?
wah and Fuzz Face for Dazed and Confused
Ts to boost the gain
Pork loin- for this ,,creamy soud" but what songs?
Tremolo-Bird on a Wire
Flanger-???( don't know why but I hate this modulation)
Phase 45- Blue & Evil
Super Chorus for Lonesome road blues and Sloe Gin(intro part) right?
DD-3 just a slap back
and Aqua Puss ?

I'm going to build my own board, now I've got only wah OCD and Holy grail (but it's in the loop and always on so it lays on amp) so, I'd like to know which pedals might be useful smile

Get a good delay- DD2 or DD3 made in japan (I prefer the 2.)
TC Chorus is a great pedal too and so versatile with a great buffer
Something less than the OCD- FatBoost, TS808/9 or a Timmy.
I'd add an EQ as you're likely not to have the volume Joe uses.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

I'll definitely try TS 9 but I like OCD cos my SPL copy is pretty dry and with OCD it sound more like Joe's ,,Marshall" setting(Jubilee with Cat5). I don't know if I need a delay... I'll buy tremolo ( maybe EHX Worm?) and chorus, but again I'm not sure If I'm going to use it.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

I simply could not be without delay- but then I don't use reverb.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

I prefer reverb tongue

I'll ask again...... when is Joe using flanger? smile

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Great shot of that fly board. Guessing he just runs everything through he front end apart from his delays. Would this be when he uses rental dsl's too?

Wonder what the phase 45 is like compared to his whirlwind phaser.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Hi,

the blue box you're telling about is the "Lehle 1@3". it's an amp switcher. joe also uses a "Palmer Triage" in Europe I think, but I'm definitely sure this is the "Lehle 1@3". search it for google, it isn't that expensive.

Hope I helped ya there, Rick

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Damzet, what settings are you using for your OCD to get that sound? I have 2 of them, one for a light crunch and one for more of a solo tone. Just curious to see what others do. Thanks.

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Tone and drive at noon and volume about 1 or 2 o'clock, HP mode. BTW superlead is set up pretty much like that:
Presence 5
Bass 4
Mids 7
Treble 4
bright channel volume at 8,5( I'm using only Normal channel but cranking this volume gives more drive)
Normal Volume at 6
And sometimes I set the mids about 6 and drive at ocd about 11 o'clock to get a little dryer sound smile
I have a SG so, with LP it might sound to dark..

Oh, and my holy grail just stopped working yesterday... What do You think about Boss RV-3 it's got reverb, delay+reverb and delay modes and I can buy used one in good price and condition big_smile ?

Edit: False alarm... Holy Grail works normally today smile

Re: Joe's Pedalboard

Seems strange looking at the Austraila board... he seems to have binned the tuner. Seems to be going straight into a Wah then into the Tubescreamer.

Guitars: 95 Les Paul Standard, Relic Strat,
Amps: 1973 Marshall JMP 50 head and Vintage Modern Cab. I use no effects other than a Cry Baby on occasions.
