Topic: Just ordered a Ceriatone HRM 50. Help with reverb???

Hi everyone. I have a 50 watt Ceriatone HRM coming my way in the next couple of days and am shopping for some reverb.
I don't understand the effects loop situation in the HRM (i know it's like a Dumble loop, but what does that mean?) And why are so many people saying to shell out $400 for a Fuchs verbrator? In the Robben Ford dvd where he is showing his gear he mentions he needs the Dumbleator so the effects sound their best. Why is this?
Could I not get away with putting a Boss Reverb or other off the shelf cheapish product in the loop?
In a way I've spent a lot on the Ceriatone (pre built) so I don't want to drop another $400 on a pedal. But at the same time I bought the HRM as I was looking for the ultimate Dumble style amp and tone (for what i could afford), and I don't want to mess it up by putting some crappy reverb on top of the natural sound and not have it work to it's full ability.

Please help with explaining the science here and any advice would be great.

Guitars: 95 Les Paul Standard, Relic Strat,
Amps: 1973 Marshall JMP 50 head and Vintage Modern Cab. I use no effects other than a Cry Baby on occasions.

You should get a Klein-ulator http://www.ceriatone.com/productSubPage … ulator.htm or a C-lator http://www.ceriatone.com/productSubPage … -lator.htm and use that to run all your time effects through the FX loop at the back of the amp (using the 4-cable method). It's a bit of a drag to set up but well worth it.
The FX loop of the Overtone is not buffered, so you'll need that device. Some people argue the tone improves if you have a Dumbleator in the effects loop even without any effects. Smooths the tone.
I have a Klein-lator for my S&M Special.
Let me know what the HRM sounds like.

For what its worh I have a 50w HRM from Ceriatone and use the Boss RV5 straight into the loop

and it works fine, although they do say that a dumbelator style unit adds a extra dimension to the sound as well as getting the best out of the effect. but since I have never tried one I cant comment. I can get all the tones I need stock !!

Absolutely! Try it first without a Dumbleator-style unit and see how it works. If it works and you'll like that way, that's great.
I've never run my time effects without the Klein-ulator but I played the amp without anything in the FX loop and I find it sounds better with the Klein.
