Topic: Lost & Black Rock

Any fans of the show "Lost"?
Some time ago I caught a brief glimpse of the name of the island's stranded ship: "Black Rock". Joe had already named the new album, but this was well before the issuance.
About that same time, I saw a show about mining coal and found that they referred to the coal as "black rock".
Coincidence?? I prefer to think it was some sort of sign, lol.
This was brought to mind after last week's Lost episode, where the ship Black Rock was very predominant.

Some good observations ... I caught the First Series of "Lost". That is a question that could come up in a "Music" Pub Quiz Night.

The reference to coal is interesting, It's also refereed to as " Black Gold" or oil.

Re: Lost & Black Rock

Didn't we try a Lost topic a while back? I seem to recall a singular lack of interest....but yes, Bill, I had a little giggle to myself about the old 'Black Rock' being the centerpiece of the last episode (which confirmed the suspicions about the meaning of Jacob and the other guy).

RIP Iron Man

Re: Lost & Black Rock

Actually noticed this myself while watching the last episode....funny how you don't see or hear a word or phrase forever and then you hear it multiple times from different sources in a short period of time....this has happened to me several times in my lifetime. How about you?

As a LOST fan, that ship was the first thing I thought of when I heard the title of Joe's new CD.  Of course I knew there was no connection and where the title really came from, but that was my first thought.  It's a good solid name, for anything really.  smile

Perhaps there IS a connection, at least in Joe Bonamassa's mind.  It is possible.

Oh well! From a previous post.  By the way, I have NEVER watched Lost!  hmm
