Topic: Opinions on the Fender Baja Telecaster?

As you may know I got a Les Paul I'm selling for a Telecaster.  I wanted a Butterscotch Tele 52 RI but those are way out of my price range.  I have found the Fender Baja Telecaster comes in that color same color and has a few features that I believe for the price range would be as good or maybe better the that old Reissue.  Like Custom Shop Pickups, a Soft V neck, 4 way toggle switch, S-1 switch gets 6 total sound and best of all I can still have money left to buy that Fuzz pedal I was thinking about.  I was going to go for the Trifecta, but now I want a Way Huge Swollen Pickle.  My dream is to get a early Zeppelin Sound because I think I liked his Telecaster on the first album the best.  Does anybody think this is a good guitar?  I've read reviews and for Mexico this is the top guitar they make for Telecasters there I just hope its a good one.

Re: Opinions on the Fender Baja Telecaster?

My main guitar is the butterscotch Baja telecaster and can say it's probably the nicest tele I've ever play for the price point. It punches well above it's weight. Nice big neck profile that's comfortable to play all set long. Pickup's are well balalanced, work great with fuzz pedals for that early zep sound. The four way switch adds a great thick sound with both pickups in series. S1 is a nice bonus, great for honky sounding funk guitar licks. Definatly well worth the price and competes well with the highway one and standard USA teles. I have the 60's classic player  strat from the same series. Again, great for the price point.

I really liked the Baja Tele deffo worth the £££, another worth considering is the Squire Classic Vibe esquire and 60's Bound Custom last time I was at a guitar shop I had a dabble with them. Deffo contenders imo to Fenders standards....

I've been gassing for a tele for ages now and was gonna sell my les paul for one too, but tbh I need to get some more space just too much gear to keep swapping stuff...

tried the classic vibes the other day. great guitars, the white 50's tele feels almost identical to the baja. really wanted the thinline, that thing was so sweet and plenty of sustain. i wanna sell my strat and get a vintage lemon drop, after 10 mins playing that i knew i needed it in my life.

ok strat, tele, les paul, obviously 3 different guitars but in what way are they different? does one of them do more? or are they just different?

Re: Opinions on the Fender Baja Telecaster?

Mine's for sale now, I can't get used to the thick v-neck profile, but it is a great guitar for the money.
