Topic: Scott McKeon new album out 29 March

Scott's new album "Trouble" is out on Monday 29 March.  I've not heard any snippets from it yet but there's a good review on amazon.

If there are any local forum people reading, Scott's going to be doing a meet and greet at Square Records in Wimborne on Monday evening so a good opportuity to get a signed copy.  If anyone would like one let me know.

I've heard the new album and written a review for Blues Matters. It's a good one - a more fuller sound than his debut, more diverse styles too. Scott's vocals and song writing has developed well. Mitch Laddie's debut album will also be out on Monday and it's pretty good too (very much blues rock), he will be supporting Scott at the Borderline.

Re: Scott McKeon new album out 29 March

Well, last night there were about 50 of us squeezed into a small record shop to hear Scott perform some tracks off his new CD, "Trouble".  The album was due out last year but was delayed for some reason, but it's been worth waiting for because this album is an absolute corker!  Barring two songs all the album was written by Scott, produced by Scott, mixed by Scott ...... a talented young man indeed.  This CD is going to stay in my player for a long time.

So nice to meet Rus from the forum and his mum last night.  Glad you got your guitar signed!

I agree with you LynB, a fine piece of work indeed. A much more polished and rounded affair than his first. Really good songs and plenty of tasty riffs to sink your teeth into. I like it a lot!! Spoilt for choice at the moment with all these great albums coming out so close together....I aint complaining though. The future's bright and bluesy!!

Re: Scott McKeon new album out 29 March

I must say, after seeing Scott McKeon open for Joe at the RAH, I was not totally impressed, but I'm sure that had a lot to do with whom we all had come to see. It also appeared, even from the front row, that the sound system for Scott was not set up right, unlike the marvelous sound when Joe and Company played.

However, recently I received a signed copy of Scott's newest album called "Trouble" from a very dear and generaous forum friend. I  must say, I am thoroughly impressed by not only young Scott's guitar prowess, but I really do like his voice. The songs on the album have a much funkier Blues beat than I remember from his performance. I'm also finding that I can listen to this album over and over, especially while doing work, and not get tired of it. Absolutely wonderful stuff! cool
