Topic: Experience Hendrix - St. Louis
Hey guys! Had a great time at the Experience Hendrix concert! We parked right across the street from the tour buses and didn't realize it until we got out of the car, and saw a small group of people hanging around, then saw the buses, so naturally we joined the group I got a chance to get a picture and talk for a few seconds with Noah Hart (Singer for Kenny Wayne Shepherd). There was also this guy in the group we were in who was almost like a leader of this group. After Noah left, he said to my mom and I "If you saw these guys on the street, you'd *never* even know who they were!" It turns out he was PLAYING that night as a drummer and none of us out there realized it. From a group called "Living Color". I had a really good laugh at that when I saw him behind the drumkit The show was awesome, and everybody was great, but Chris Layton was a real unsung hero, and probably the hardest working there! He played almost every song, except 2, intensely. I guess to have been SRV's drummer, he needed to do that After the show, we went down to the merchandise table to get a shirt, and BILLY COX WAS THERE! I got a print of him and Jimi signed, along with my ticket stub. Then I went and bought a T-shirt, and waited for virtually *everybody* to leave except for 10 or so people around Billy, and got my picture with him and shook hands! Really cool guy!
Lol, had a great time, and needed to share in the fun, and where else to go but my bonabuddies?
