Woofy, I was cryin' too!  Only it was because my alma mater, Indiana University, couldn't beat you guys.  Back in '81 we started the NCAA tournament by blowing the bloomers off a good Maryland team and ended it with an easy win over N.C. for the championship.

Just a magnetic anomaly in the air is all.  Expect an early exit in the tournament(s).  But could be a stretch run Cinderella team.  Not likely though.  Either case.  Go Orangemen (turn those Vermont Catamounts into catsup, or maple syrup if you can't stand the sight of blood spilled in revenge) & Huskie Women (good-looking or not ) yikes did I say that out loud?!

Sure, wouldn't surprise me to see the Aztecs make the Sweet 16.  OK, it would, just kidding.  But only if Georgetown loses.  Not likely.  Even if so, that's gonna be the end of the line.

I think the same applies to the Huskies as I predicted for the SDSU Aztecs, although they (Washington) could upset Marquette.  A very big surprise if in the Sweet 16!  Looks too tough, but good luck to 'em and you Stu.

I'm afraid I have to agree. It was a nice end of season tournament run but climbing that mountain ahead is a stretch.

Not familiar with Monty.  I am more in tune with an over-sized Orange dingleberry.   I tend to root for underdogs in the Big Dance.  Ultimately it is Go Orange(men) as blood is thicker than fodder.

True Stu, good for the Huskies, don't know if they would have made the dance without the tourney win. The Pac 10 dropped off big time this season from last. The Bears have a mountain to climb in the first round facing Louisville, we'll see what this team is made of right off the bat. If they're one and out I still got the Buckeyes to root for.

It rained bigtime for 3 solid days, I'm grateful we didn't loose power like lots of other folks, I watched a little basketball...jdawg, do you still root for Ohio State, how about that buzzer beater?

You betch yer buckeyes I do, but this is the first conference title for the Berkeley Bears since Eisenhower was in the White House, '59-'60 season. Hopin' that carries a little magic conotation.

WOW!!  What an opening day, watched some of the games and highlights.  Anyone crumble up their bracket predictions?   big_smile

Overtimes, upsets...March Madness is full of the unpredictable and a little magic.

Murray State (13 over a 4) wins...that was awesome, I don't even know where Murray State is.

Lehigh was beating Kansas by 8 points when I tuned in before the half...now that would have been an upset.

Robert Morris (15 seed) almost beats a 2 seed...the way 'Nova played, Robert Morris deserved to win and Robert Morris deserved the standing ovation they got after that game.

The Big East didn't do so well yesterday with Notre Dame, Georgetown and Marquette going down.  I was most surprised by Georgetown's lost, although of all the big East teams, I don't like Georgetown going back to the 80's with Coach John Thompson (dad of current coach) who is a major racist.

Rocket/unclearaven-I just heard the injury report for one of your key players who hurt his knee in the tourney, bummer.  The Joseph brothers will be facing each other in the matchup to Vermont.  http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball … ;type=lgns

I'm also rooting for Temple, one of my alma maters, who got slighted in the brackets, to win over Cornell.  Lots of buzz in Philly over this matchup.  The coaches are best friends, text or talk every day and worked together coaching an ivy league team for 10 years, University of Pennsylvania.  Temple's coach has done an outstanding job since he took over the program.
