Re: Joannne Shaw Taylor

Since it's her Birthday, I thought I should bring her back to the top. I'll be seeing her next Friday and I'll print any B-Day wishes posted here and take with me. To be this young, good looking and talented...well, I'd probably have squandered it.      Cathy

Thanks, Cathy....I was peripherally aware of that but getting home that late on a Wednesday can make for a tough few days at work....I'm seriously thinking about it though.  Will wait and see how I feel and how impressed Kendi was from the 2/19 show I won't be attending.

Re: Joannne Shaw Taylor

What a great show last night at the Ram's Head. I know Vortex taped it, so it may well show up in Cyberworld.  JST hit big from the first note. BAM! Full on fret work in her usual ballsy style. It was fun to look around at the faces...imagine comic book bubbles.."But she's such a small girl", "Is that a chick???", or the usual "Wow"... She never backed down either.  I think the audience would have been happy for more. But, Eric Sardinas came next and it was my turn to go "Wow". The best was the JST/ES jam and lick swapping as the encore.

Again, she's such a fine young lady. She seems to have her head on straight and enjoying her blessings. My friend, Tony Coulter, from XM Radio was there and may be doing a live show with JST and ES next week. I'll let everybody know when I know. Bob took some stellar pics, so I'll bug him to share them.               Cathy
