I hope you're getting as much sleep as possible, Funky D!? Lots of little naps between proper sleeps too.

I arrogantly informed the Dr. (before my insides bled out) that I would be back to work in 6 weeks...NOT!  My attorney in Miami called me this morning and said she just wanted to hear my voice herself...an honor indeed. 

I picked up my bass last night and turned on the amp and played something, tried rather, and I heard every note in my molars.  Fingers don't work right either.  Looked at my guitar and the piano and just waked away.  Luckily my kids had taped (Ipodded?) some cool music that some high school kids had performed and played that for me and I felt better. 

A functional family is a thing of wonder indeed.  I just pray the great spirit runs strong through my veins.

Thank you!  I go for my follow up on Thursday.  I gues they'll see what my brain activity looks like.  Won't that be shocking?     I know I look like a tooth pick with a pot belly.  No working out allowed.  But no steroids, so no turbulence in the digetive tract.  or less anyway...

If I don't take the meds I get restless.  If I get restless my blood pressure goes up.  The Dr, says if you have a siezure it will probably kill you, or worse you'll be a vegebibble.  TheDivine MsTia and I have a deal which includes my demise if vegetable happens.      So I take the meds and try not to fret.

Even yesterday Son said that I really should chill cause I'll get it back.  After all it was brain surgery.  100 forms of fear; however subtle. 

Out of the mouths of babes...  Oh and Thank you all for the private emails and cards.  I mean it!

I don't know you Big Jeff, I'm new to the forum. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Good news, although, please define "normal"    Listen to your body. Sleep when you're tired. I'll tell you what I tell my patients. You're like a battery that can't hold it's charge. So, recharge when needed. I wish I had a Doctor's note for naps! Much Love, C

I'm sorry but I didn't learn about your illness till today.  It sounds like you've had great medical treatment and tremendous family support.  Patience for men is extremely challenging, but it can be the difference for  recovery.   I don't know you well, but I believe you're one tough cookie and quit is not in your vocabulary.  I can't offer you much, but I'll certainly pray for you and those unlucky nurses.

Yesterday I drove myself to the EEG place.  I refuse to play these games with some people.
Receptionist said fill this out.  I said no.  Then she wanted a copy of my driver's license & insurance card.  I said no.

They started EXPLAINING to me...I cut 'em off.  Says me:  "I am a referal.  I have an appt. with Christie.  You have all of the info you need.  Find it."  She picked the phone up and said to Christie "Your 9 o'clock is here."  Christie came and got me.

She was a very nice redhead girl.     I have to wait for results.

Probably say I'm a jerk.  TUFF.
