So... Is he Sorry or just Sorry he got Caught?
My vote:
Who cares?
Is this really worthy of anyone's attention?
Sandy
P.S. Since you asked - my guess is he's sorry he got caught.
It is going to be tough for him to recover. Begging the paparazzi to lay off is like asking the wind to stop. I guess it was the best he could do. Prepped by the best social psychologists and legal staff for damage control. He will be back playing the game this year, bet on it.

He thought, normal rules didn't apply to him...
Well, guess what Tiger....

After watching his press conference I couldn't help but see a similarity to George C. Scott in the movie Patton when the general is forced to make a public apology for hitting a private. There was zero sincerity with old blood and guts and I saw the same emotionless arrogance in Tiger.
Headline of a local German newspaper: "The tiger has turned into a bedside rug".
Günter
I counted the word sorry 19 times.... Hmmmmm, 19 bimbos, nineteen apologies.
Not bothered.
Many more things to worry about in this world than one individual golfer.
From an old Cheech and Chong skit comes the immortal words, "Bailiff, whack his pee pee!"
Roy
I honestly thought it was poorly put together and he came off not sincere. I think he is sincere but he didnt come off that way.. For a guy with that size of operation it should of been way better.

Tiger fell off the Buddism rails for a while while studying "Bootyism" but he is back on track now.....

Ouch! He ain't by hisself...
Can we just get back to him hitting golf shots and winning tournaments?
Can we just get back to him hitting golf shots and winning tournaments?
I can't see that happening, any time soon! The general public have short memories ... but the media don't.....well, our media don't!

This is difficult to write because I was such a fan of him, but Brack is probably correct about the media. Tiger has been notoriously vengeful to any negative reporting and the adage "what goes around, comes around" will pay a visit to the serial bootycaller.
He will deserve it, whatever comes to him. The contrition in his "speech" (scripted contrition I might add) was delivered without sincerity or emotion. His anger with the media etc was heartfelt! Me fears he still feels a sense of entitlement.... he is not the first, nor will he be the last superstar whose children have been followed to school....
I didnt see the press conference, and I believe the media interrupted regular broadcasting to air this conference...like it's some news flash.?? Am I right on this?
All I can say is, it is Tiger's business, not ours. He is in the public eye, but does he owe the public an explaination? What kind of role model is he....a golf role model on how to wear snazzy Nike sports wear. Or is he a role model with his shirtless magazine cover looking hot and mean? I guess he took the Nike ''Just do it!'' motto a little to literally!
If it is true that the stations broke to air this press conference...then that stinks! Who cares about Tiger's private life??? If he is absent from golf for a while, has he done an injustice? What does he owe me/us? An uninterrupted golfing tour? Because he fell, does that make me superior now?
Hey Guys, I'm not yelling at you at all...just venting on role models, the media, and reality TV....What I kinda see is that many experts in the entertainment field, and business world, do one thing very well...and thats their craft, but stink when it comes to the social aspect of life...Unless your Jimmy Stewart, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates, and JB...some examples.
We the public, place them under a microscope of relentless scrutiny, and any deviation from what we think is appropriate, is now a big deal. I cringe thinking about my past indescretions. I have, hopefully Tiger as well, have learned from those poor choices, and will not, repeated them. Thanks. >> DAN
Dan, the mainstream media's world did stand still for the press conference. Full break as if it was the start of WW3. There has been a lot of talk about the real reason he has been pilloried was his refusal to talk to media. Done deal now.
