Topic: DSL 50 Head

Any people use one on here? i'm on the cusp of finally getting a marshall and this one has come up with a marshall 2x12 cab.

sounds really good in the demos i've heard and seems quite versatile for my covers band.

what people think? i know joe uses DSL's sometimes, has he ever used the 50 watt versions?

Re: DSL 50 Head

Jeff Beck uses the DSL50. I have a TSL100 and it's a wonderful amp. The DSL is just as good in the tone department, so you should be happy. Make sure the tubes are good and properly biased and you'll love the tone.

Re: DSL 50 Head

I think you'll like it. The 100 has more clean headroom, but you'll like the 50 FOR SURE. I think they're one of the better ones out there in current production.

Re: DSL 50 Head

I've got a DSL50. Love the thing! I highly recommend it! Does everything I need it to do, and some!

Re: DSL 50 Head

I don't own one but a couple of friends in cover bands do and they love them and sound great. One of my friends uses a GT 8 with his - just for effects, the GT8 can switch the channels on the DSL with the different effects patches. I don' t know how it works but it sounds killer, and I really don't like boss products much. If I was in a cover band I would buy that!
