Topic: Way Huge Aqua Puss Re-Issue!!

Jeorge Tripps told me release to hit the streets in about 3-weeks on the AP.  How many original AP owners are bummed about the re-issue coming out and how many are happy they fetched $800.00 on e-bay, now go buy a re-issue for $149.00 or so - I would expect older discontinued models coming back soon - Red Lama was a good pedal if I recall.

Re: Way Huge Aqua Puss Re-Issue!!

Sweet!  I'm needing a really good chorus/delay for my ultimate rig that's about 60% complete.  I know that Brad Paisley loves his!

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Yeah the AP is a great pedal, had one years ago and not sure what happened to it - wish I could have said I got $800.00 for it on e-bay and just bought one yesterday for $150.00.  I'm sure the re-issue will be very close to original unit.

Re: Way Huge Aqua Puss Re-Issue!!

Just received re-issue AP today, sounds the same as the original I once owned and just like my Boss DM2, nice to see the old friend again.  Sorry to all those old AP owners who didn't cash in for $1k on e-bay.  Interesting to me, Jeorge at Way Huge recommends putting AP in front of amp and in front of all OD pedals.....any thoughts on this - I guess it will less distort???  Also, any issues with frying this pedal if I put in my effects loop through Kleinualtor on my Ceriatone OTS???

Thanks!!!

Two things.  Every reissues that has ever come out in the history of music stuff has been thought to be worse than the original.

I think its interesting that they want it placed in front of the amp.  I always use mine there. I would be careful to use it before overdrive.  That gets a little crazy.

Re: Way Huge Aqua Puss Re-Issue!!

Agree in most cases, but I had original AP and this RI sounds the same - IMO, just a clone of the Boss DM2 I own, I plugged then both in last night and sound the same.  Also, IMO, such companies like Gibson come up short on RI Les Pauls most of the time from lack of quality control, you have to play 10 Les Pauls of the same model to find 1 or 2 that are winners, years ago this was not the case IMO.  Anything can be duplicated with attention to detail, all specs can be duplciated, even circuit boards, etc in pedals if original exist...look at what all of these botique amp shops are doing with Dumble-like amps IMO.
