Let the same boats and crew race around the world.... now that would be a race to follow.

There is an around the world team race. It was called the Whitbread.  It has been renamed the Volvo after the latest sponsor.

The America's Cup boats are built for closed course match racing and could never make it in storms.

Built for speed, not endurance, much like a cheetah, or a 100m sprint runner. The cheetah would win that race with only 3 legs!

Another comparison... with winter olympics in mind.... Downhill  v  Cross-country.  The Norwegians will win that one..i think!
