Topic: What do you think?

I have a chance to buy a used DSL 401 for a really good price. Anybody have experience with one? It's clean with no serious issues. I'm just looking for skeletons in the closet.

I don't have experience with the 401 but I have a DSL 50 head.
They're excellent amps! If I were you I'd find somewhere that has one in store to try out.

I've used a DSL 2000 100 watt head and liked it alot. Others thought it was sterile compared to a JCM 800, but I thought it had more headroom when clean, and heavier crunch.

If the DSL 2000 is the one which gary moore used for the last 10 years, then i don't like it.

However i didn't no oportunity of trying one of those.
