Topic: Putting together a Pedal board

Greatings once again.  I just got my tax return and decided to blow it on guitars.  So I had 4 pedals and decided I should expand.  This has some cheap stuff but I am happy with it so hear goes from the the guitar to the first pedal.  Dunlop original Cry Baby, to Mortly George Lynch Wah (had this pedal but hated you got to keep your foot on it, now I'm only using it for its wow sound instead of wah.) Gearmanndude Luther Pedal with the loud mod, gearmanndude time bomb boost, MXR Phase 90, DOD Stereo Flanger, and then a cheap tuner.  All of that is going to the front end of the amp.

In the effects loop I'm going to have a cheapo Compressor I got for $10, and a Delta Lab Digital Delay.  Last I'm using my channel selector switch on the board as well for my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.  Everything is going to be powered by a 1 Spot power source.  Some People will turn their nose up to some of this stuff but really I think for the money its a decent pedal board.  I have around $550 invested into it.

I also made a board out of clear 1/2" Lexan thats a little bit used with some scratches but it was free.  Took it to work where my buddy there is a machinist and made a 24"x 12" board on about a 25 degree slope.  So the board looks better then the pedals its going to have.  Its going to be tight but I think everything will fit as long as I use angled connections.
Does anybody have a suggestion in the order of the pedal?  I don't have all of them yet but they are on the way.

Re: Putting together a Pedal board

You got some sweet stuff there, brother. As far as the order goes, I think the rule of thumb is something like:   tuner > wah > distortion/overdrive > modulation > amp.   I may be wrong though...and although you don't have any fuzz pedals, they work best before everything smile

Re: Putting together a Pedal board

Yeah I ran out of money for a good fuzz pedal... I had to think of my wife on Valentines Day.  Oh well.  I'm hoping this board will keep me happy for a while because I'm not going to buy anything else expensive for guitars for a while... unless its a Telecaster that was my original plan.

Re: Putting together a Pedal board

oi, that's alright..fuzz pedals are kinda one trick ponies. I love mine to death, but it's only good for a few things since the fuzz is so extreme...great for Hendrix stuff though. and my dad just bought a squire telecaster and it sounds phenomenal!

just my $0.02
