Topic: Enough Who Already

Ever since Sun. every time I listen to the 4 or 5 FM rock stations I frequent at work or in my truck a Who song comes on about every hour. Is it just my stations or is this happening elsewhere around the country? Seriously, I love their music, but since their appearance Sun. @ the Super Bowl I've reached the saturation point.

Well aware of that, but we don't want to ruin a good thang, no what I mean?

Re: Enough Who Already

Haven't noticed it. But what I'm upset about is why CSI is jumping on the bandwagon suddenly, now doing a Who song in their opening credits.  big_smile  tongue  lol

All three CSI shows have always used Who tunes for their theme tracks, its nothing new.

Re: Enough Who Already

I've noticed the same thing and was wondering if it was just me being more Who-aware since the Superbowl, or if they were actually playing more of them. Truth to be told, I've been enjoying it.

The kids really are alright...

Re: Enough Who Already

Apologies to all for the grumble before, feeling a lil ruff, and that bordered on political, medical, insurance...nah nah nah.

Re: Enough Who Already

I remember seeing The Who at Charlton Athletic Football Ground, London, on 31 May 1976 that was listed as the "Loudest Concert Ever" by the Guinness Book of Records, where the volume level was measured at 126 decibels 32 metres from the stage. (using a Tasco 76,000 watt custom built rig) (the record lasted for over 10 years)

(I believe this has since been beaten by Manowar and others)

At least I got to see the full original line up  cool

The 'support' acts were Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Little Feat, The Outlaws, Streetwalkers, and Widowmaker

You got to see SAHB in '76? Nice! I guess you can tell from my icon that I'm a SAHB freak. It was Alex's birthday last week, would have been 75 years old. Hard to believe.

Good man; that laser show towards the end was incredible. Another amazing thing is that out of all my friends I was the only one to go, go figger  roll

Yeah, I had kinda noticed your icon  wink

SAHB were brilliant, especially as the crowd wanted The Who, but Alex Harvey and the band got the crowd on their side and so when the Who did appear the crowd were more than ready

Love your reference to LOUD Who gigs. I remember in San Diego, Sept. 1983, Pete walked out on the stage, plugged in and hit a test chord, turned around, looked up at a 60 foot wall of super cabs, and said Wow! Don't know the wattage but he was impressed. My ears rang for two days.

Beauty Deez, you had me thinkin' you just tuned in to CBS' meat & potatoes franchise. I like watching CSI Miami just because the acting is more over the top than the old Miami Vice. I find it comical.
