Topic: Custom Shop '69 pups

Hey guys, this may be a silly question, but i want to get the fender custom shop '69 pickups for the neck and middle positions for my new warmoth build. They only come with white covers... is it as simple as lifting them off, and replacing them with a black cover, or is there more to changing the cover.

Thanks,
logan

Yup they just slide off, I like the 69 in the neck but I think I prefer the 57/62's that used to come OEM on the 62 Vintage reissue for all positions they just have that quack and the mid pickup atleast for me anyhow has a very cool nasal sound (like a half cocked wah) that cuts right through the mix....

Re: Custom Shop '69 pups

i love the 69 pickups. they're designed to have a scooped mid range sound, which i something that i finally realised when trying to get a more mid heavy sound and failing with just guitar and amp. my favourite sounds would have to be the neck on it's own and the middle and bridge.

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll order them soon. I'll have a bridge pickup if anyone wants it for cheap.
