Topic: Test Clip using Sony PCM-M10 with Fuchs/Suhr

OK-

Here is a clip with pretty much nothing on structure.

More of a exercise to test the whole process of capturing some audio with the new PCM-M10 recorder. Straight out of the box. I can see the potential with this thing though-and the editing software is pretty nice-

This is a Fuchs Modded Bassman 50 through a THD cab with a Longhorn/Vintage 2X12 cab-Guitar is a Suhr Classic S. All knobs at noon-except MV which was @ 9:00 for both clean and OD clips-

Clean Setting- tiny bit of reverb through the loop- PAB on

OD setting- same PAB on.

Guitar was too close to the recorder so the picking comes through.

More as I figure this thing out.

Clams and Oysters are served blah blah- You get the picture. Playing was clearly not the focus of the clips. Next up actual line level adjustments with some comp structure on the playing.

Have fun--

Thanks Logan. Yeah- the Fuchs is a killer rig- Sorry I sound like an Axe Murderer on the OD clip.

Anyway- This was a mod that Andy did on his own vs. me finding a donor head.

I'm not fond of HRM set ups - I'm a low gain type player so if you like higher gain/saturation those amps may work better.

For what you would pay for a new Ceriatone you could get a Fuchs used for the same amount.

Check the PCM -M10 if you want to get in to recording. Great platform for punching in a quick idea or chord comp or whatever.

Next up will be some clips with actual structure- Two Rock Emerald Pro and then a Mystery EL34 amp for some EJ type stuff now that Justin has his Metro/Marshall

Re: Test Clip using Sony PCM-M10 with Fuchs/Suhr

I almost snagged an Emerald Pro that was factory upgraded to 100 watts.  Oh well.  I have a Fuchs ODS and a Two Rock CRS - both quality and sweet sounding.  I agree about getting a Fuchs over a Ceriatone - leagues better IMO.

Nice playing too.

Funny- I guess the big "Magic" on the Emmy Pro is the Silver Trannies in the early low gain, 50 watt units. Mine is up @ Two Rock right now getting a going over. That is without a doubt the best amp I have ever heard. There's a Bludo in our studio right now- Great amp but does not stretch out like the Epro-

I have no practical experience with the Ctone so I can't say but for $1,300.00 I have essentially a brand new Fuchs- Mercury Transformers. Parallel/Series Loop with a killer 'verb.

I am still trying to develop my tone, so I'm not really exactly sure yet if I want a higher or lower gain sounds, as they both have their uses... I just know that while I may base a rig on Joe's, i dont want to be an exact clone of his. I guess im looking for something that plays lower gain really nice, but has plenty of gain on tap for when i get adventurous.
