Topic: ARE BLUES DELUXE REISSUE AND TWINAMP 57 REISSUE SIMILAR?

I had some doubt about choosing between the blues deluxe reissue and the twin amp 57 reissue(Clapton'samp) and I was

going to choose the 57 but I lacked bucks and was afraid it would be too loud, lacked of gain channel  and utube tests didn't

please me.

So one day I tried the blues deluxe and was delighted by the sound ; given it was cheaper I decided to order

and don't know if I did the right choice, maybe my goldtop 57 would have been better magnifed by the 57

Sligo amps has a Twin both 40 watt and the high watt tweed... handwired for about 1200 bucks. Look up sligo amps.  They are great sounding alternative to the overpriced Fender.

I belieave your Blues Deluxe is going to have that classic Fender Clean will sound good.  The Twin is a legend because of its ability to get so nasty when you crank it and the people who use it.  Most people will never get the satisfaction of turning their twins up so I doubt you would enjoy it entirely unless you use pedals for overdrive... in which case I believe for the money the Blues Deluxe will get you there.

You're certainly right AD3THREE;I've already found marvellous sounds with the clear channel, the BB2 AND THE TS9 ,and

even with the gain channel combined with the ts9 ,tones and sounds like the chorus of joe's the flood, this crystall clear

blues sound with incredible reverb. which is alike.

The only thing I'm still looking for is a blues rock more punchy sound I can't still get to play tracks of an incredible french

guitarist and singer called Paul Personne I encourage you to listen on my tube ESPECIALLY THE CHORUS OF "VISIONS"

you'll enjoy, he only plays with a 59 les paul and a tweed lacquered hot rod de luxe with jensen

/aNY Idea of what I could use for the gain

channel on the deluxe which isn't that good even if you crank it ,that 's the only problem

Re: ARE BLUES DELUXE REISSUE AND TWINAMP 57 REISSUE SIMILAR?

I don't have a whole lot of ideas but could you bias the amp hot and crank it to a high volume thats just before before natural distortion.  Then you could use your TS9 to take it over the edge.  If that sound bad maybe you could try Groove Tube yellow jackets.  It turns your amp from 6L6 to EL84 tubes.  You go from 40 watts class ab to 15 watts class a.  It bias itself so you just plug them in.  I don't know how they sound though.  I've never used one.  But you should be able to crank that clean channel to distortion.
