new guitar for me

hey all. been hankering after something new to get the creative juices flowing for ages. my 65 reissue mustang wasn't getting used much and decided to trade it in against something else. about five minutes after setting foot in my local guitar shop i saw this

A peerless songbird. peerless make some of the epiphone stuff, mainly casinos (which this is based on). it's has the same spec as the new inspired by john lennon casino. gibson USA p90 come fitted to it too. i spent a good hour and a half playing this against other semis and hollow bodies, but this blew away all of them. both clean and dirt, it just sings and sparkles. it will feedback when using dirtier settings, but it's musical and controllable. they gave me a straight swap for my mustang, including loads of strings and the fitted case. really chuffed with it, can't wait to gig it.
