Re: Help me choose an amp!

Has anyone tried the new Marshall MA?  I am thinking about getting my first head/cab and I really can't afford much so I thought for my first adventure the MA might suit me.  I know it wasn't built in the UK but I am sure it had to pass Marshall's QC.  The Haze line didn't seem to go over too well but the head is only 15 watts.  The Vintage Modern intrigues me but it is a bit out of my price range.

I'd prefer to buy new....I'd prefer Marshall...but I am open to suggestions....Playing Blues Rock with both a R8 and a LP Traditional....but like to keep it under $1,000...Good luck I know....

Thanks,

Barry

Re: Help me choose an amp!

At the risk of sounding redundant, take a look at the Blackheart line... They have the Marshall vibe, are built like tanks and are within your budget. A much better choice than an MA series IMHO. The 100 watter and a 4x12 should be in your price range. Otherwise consider the 15 watter as it's pretty much as loud as most 50 watters I've tried and in a 4x12 it's more than enough for most gigs.

edit : the 100 watter is not in you price range unfortunately. Check out my review of the 15 watter on youtube. It's plenty loud ( really, as in about twice as loud as the Haze 15 which I tried last week and in a 4x12 it's more than enough ) and you'll love it considering the style you're playing.

Re: Help me choose an amp!

I have a Peavey Classic 50 410 and love it.  My friend just got a Egnater Tourmaster 4100 and it is a awsome 4 channel load with everything you can think of.
