Topic: Fender Blues JR vs. Vox AC15?

Does anybody have experience with BOTH of these amps?

How do they compare?

I've got a Blues Jr., but might be looking to trade it for an AC15 if I can be convinced. I think if I keep the Blues jr. it will be cause of all the mods I will want to do to it!

Personally I didnt like it I cant say exactly why it just didnt do it for me, I tried it for a good 30 mins too preferred a little peavey solid state thing that was plugged in next to it...

I've played both.  I liked each, but prob. the AC15 a bit more, but then again I like the british voiced amps better than Fenders.  Both love 808's and need to be pushed hard.

Not sure that's a fair comparison of amps IMO.

Re: Fender Blues JR vs. Vox AC15?

I have used both in band settings.
The Vox by far is my favorite.  But this is really a US vs Brit sound comparison. I love Vox amps.  i have the AC30, AC15, AC4. I also have a Fender Twin that I really love.

The Vox AC15 has less clean head room in my opinion. The Blues Junior is more of a honk sound like most fenders. The Vox sounds just like the AC30 but in a smaller package.

One thing I would say is do not waste your money on the alnico blues speakers. You are getting a great amp when you get the CC1 with the celestion speakers. They all sound great.
