Ok so the title was a bit over the top. My real question is why do they double their prices in the UK (and other european countries) as compared to the US. To Mesa $1 apparently equals £1. You won't catch blackstar doubling their prices in america, Why do they do it?

The same reason Marshalls are more expensive over here in the states my man. Shipping, export/import taxes and tarriffs, who knows? With Mesa's money they should set up a European factory and sell them with the proper voltaged trannies right out of the box. I hear crazy stories of guys across the world having to spend $3-$5k for a friggin' Dual Recto...that's crazy!
Why wouldn't they just get some kind of Power conditioner that could simply let them plug the conditioner into the higher voltage European outlet and then plug the American amplifier into the conditioner to get the proper 120 volts of current required for their ampifier? I know they exist because I've read about them and for less then a Mesa Boogie sold in the UK too. It just seems if you could do this then you could take your amp everywhere in the world. No worries of having to get your amp worked on before you travel or having to use amps that could be used in only that country.

It's called a Variac, but you need to match it to the supply voltage (different voltages have different plug types).

theres no such thing as a "european outlet" its different in different countries
