Topic: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

http://cgi.ebay.com/Marshall-Silver-Jub … 53df17dc8d

I know these 100 watters are rare- and this one is in supreme condition. I personally am not a fan of the Silver Jub amps but realize these are a great part of the total sound if you are going multi amp

I am trying to buy one of this guy's old Music Man heads to build a high powered Fuchs ODS.

Cheers-

Ted

$3200 yikes

I would go with the MM to Fuchs route too (if I was in the market). That's the deal.

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

Silver Jubs are nice... but there's a LOT of nice amps out there. If you had your heart set on one, there it is.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

Thats way over priced. You can get a 100 watt Jube on ebay for under $2000, and you can get a 50 watt for under $1500.

$3200 is for the uneducated consumer.

Here's one check it out:

Cool- show us one (100 watter that is)- 50 watters are always around. 100 watters, Clean 100 watters? not so much. All of this guys stuff is a bit ambitious though on price. No matter to me-I am no fan of any of the SJs.

Damn- trying to do a solid hmm

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

The same guy is also listing a 50 watter for the same price... hmm

I've seen near mint 2555 Silver Aniversary FULLSTACKS go for that much!  Both of his Jubilees are in exceptional condition however.  It's sad that I'll probably never be able to afford a real one. sad

On a happier note I'm still in the works of putting together a "mini monster" rig that does even more than my original one did in a much neater and compact package.  Just ordered the switching system and my Metro Superlead is coming along very nicely!

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Me - I bought a Mint condition SJ 2555 halfstack all original for $1900, then passed one up for $2200 head only in great contion, minus rusty screws holding the back grill on.  They are out there - you need to search them out.  $3200 is blasphemy.

Ben

PS - The Fuzz-miester was there with me at both events.

100 watters are always around on ebay. Gotta be smart, keep your eyes open and be patient and check ebay everyday. I do even though I'm not in the market for one. Craigslist is another place to find a deal but that is a little tougher because most people use ebay anyway.

Happy Hunting,

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

I paid $2035.00 shipped in Sept of 2008. The amp is in super condition minus the very light cigarette stain and someone over tightened the back grill and cracked the cab(repaired)
You can find some good deals, this is not one... Way too much...

Good luck.
Bill

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

Dont fotget that the JCM SLASH sig head is the same amp made 1996 safer bet if you want a good S/JUBE as some of the early S/JUBEs had different circuits  (below 2500 ser no) I just seen a JCM SLASH 100W Head go for 900 USD in mint condition ON EBAY

"Everybody's entitled to my opinion. wink

Re: 100 watt Silver Jub for you "JoNe" chasers

I remember paying £600 for a SJ 50w 2x12 back in  late 2006.

Reasons must...sold it for £750 eight months later....the Slash and Frusciante fans were buying them up....now JB's made it a hell of a lot worse! lol
....maybe I'll get a 100w head one day....but I think Ceriatone will satisfy my budget and tone for now.
