This forum is where you can find all sorts of new and old stuff and come across music gems this came to me through the posts about Free and "Tons Of Sobs", so thought i'd look up Back Street Crawler, as i knew Koss had made an album with them, so through the Free links on YouTube found this absolute wonderful piece of music.

Re: Paul Kossoff

Thanks Michel, that's quite impressive. I enjoyed it very much. Now I will take a trip to the Library, most music stores don't have much classic rock & blues.

Take care,
Bill

Re: Paul Kossoff

Yes Michael, no arguments from me, Paul Kossoff was only behind Peter Green for me as the number one British blues based guitarist who could get that level of feel and emotion into his playing.

"The recently formed Edinburgh Blues Club has identified an appetite for the personal communication between musicians and audience that the blues long ago perfected." The Herald Newspaper (Scotland)

Re: Paul Kossoff

Quite possibly the best ever British guitar player from definately the greatest band IMHO  'FREE'

Re: Paul Kossoff

I gave it a listen last night, very cool...got a few goose bumps too....I googled Pauls life and it was quite touching, especialy his fathers love of trying to bring attention to substance abuse....I remember his death vaguely, hell I had my own demons back then....I also googled Tommy Bolin because I knew he was in that same time frame, he also passed the same year at the same age of 25.....sad indeed, I just love youtube and the internet, so much I've learned.....not to get way off topic Michael (uh oh too late)...but I heard "Maggot Brain" at the end of the TV show "House" the other night, blown away again

Got me a package to open, some real rare JB stuff is in there

Thank You Mikey cool

Re: Paul Kossoff

Great Michael.
Along with LZ, Free really got me into music when I was a little younger.
Saw Free live in a quite small venue.

One of the advantages of being over 50 ?? lol
