Thank you all, it means a lot, it really does. Alex was simply a beautiful boy. Music brought so much pleasure to him, it was his life. We have the memory of sharing the Royal Albert Hall with him. We miss him so much. I will be around, thanks again.

Re: One of our own needs our love and support

Like many of you, I was knocked sideways for quite a while when I heard this very sad news. We may not have met Alex, but we almost felt we knew him through Martin. My abiding memory of Alex will be looking up at him with Martin as he looked down at Joe on the stage at the RAH. I didn’t know Alex but I do know that he loved Bluesrock, and from that perspective he was just the same as all of us here.

Take your time, Martin. We’re all thinking of you, Kate and Hannah.

Re: One of our own needs our love and support

Martin, I have not offered my condolances as of yet words sometimes don't come easy in these kinds of situations. I know there are no magic words that will suddenly make things all better. I do believe that over time all the words combined from friends and aquaitences do help ease the pain. This is my attempt to add just a few words that along with others spoken here will help heal the pain and loss you feel.

I know that Joe who has a special spot in his heart for the young fans was especially upset by the news that you lost young Alex. It has been double tough as of late for the Bonamassa forum family but we all help give each other strength in these emotionally devestating times.

Please keep Martin and his family in your thoughts today as Alex is laid to rest. Virgil and his bass player Tom will play at the funeral in recognition of the importance of music to Alex.

I certainly will Duncan, and I'll also remember with moist eyes the day when my best friend's 15 year old son played 'Stairway' at my wife's funeral.
