Topic: A word about one of our forum members…
Hello all,
I had the distinct pleasure this past week of traveling by car to Philadelphia with one of our forum members. I'm sure most of you know him by the name of Nic Bongers or even better, by his user name of NPB_EST.1979. Even though Nic and I had traded E-mails and have long shared an interest in this place and in music in general, we had never met face to face. Well, an opportunity arose to go see a show in Philadelphia and so, we ended up traveling together.
Nic did all of the driving and one way from my home to Philly is about 870 miles. Needless to say, you get to know someone pretty well when you’re the only two sitting in a car for over 14 ½ hours. However, what I found in Nic is not only he a very intelligent, well spoken, guitar playing young man, but just an all around great guy with a really fine sense of humor. On the way out to Philly we never even listened to one CD, instead talking all the way out. You would think that would have gotten old but on the contrary, the time driving flew by and we both were surprised at how good we felt by the time we got there. Isn’t it great to meet someone and discover such a fine person? 
I’ve never said this about any young man before, but I would be proud to have him as a son-in-law and hope my daughter Sarah meets someone just like him.
