Topic: How about a Song suggestion.

I know your in Paul Kossoff mode with this new Marshall you got so how about a new song for the set list.  Its my favorite Free song, "Fire and Water" its just one of those hiden jems that nobody plays.  I bet some of the younger players on this board have never even heard this song they only know "All Right Now"  I'm sure you could do something with that tune.  What do you think?  Its my Birthday on New Years that would make a cool Present.

I'm sad to say I was just turned on to that song a couple months ago.  My friend that I'm jamming with suggested we learn the song and play in our group.  After I heard it I was like "Where in the hell have I been in the last 28 year?"  Thats why I said a lot of younger player wouldn't know it.  But its way cool!  Joe theres 2 of us voting for Fire and Water.

Ahh that would be incredible. I'm also feeling "Be My Friend" or "Heavy Load"... I could see joe turning that into a Sloe Gin vibe cool
it would be awesome to hear that piano part put into a guitar part.

Well, I'm sorry to say that I'm 45 and I just heard this song for the first time tonight based on your suggestion. I grew up playing Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, AC/DC, and was not hip to all of this great 70's music. What a great song! Heard it for the first time from this youtube video...Youtube is a great tool for musicians. I will have to play this song.

I have been gently pushing Joe for it for many years...I think it's going back about 8 now...and repeated many times in the covers threads... Cross those fingers and toes big_smile AD3THREE (Happy Birthdate Anniversary !) make me number 3, down from #1! lol

Joe HAS to do "Hey Joe". ;D Also, I would love to see Voodoo Child (Slight Return). Also, how about Crossroad Blues or Sweet Home Chicago? Those HAVE to be done as well wink

Although those would be very cool to hear cool I would hope that he would go further from the beaten path.

I thought it should be there too, but I thought since I was suggesting it because of his new Marshall that he's more or less in love with that it would work here.  I've been pushing for it every where really when I get a chance.
