I'm afraid that was my note George saw...... and certainly this is the last post I ever wanted to make on this Forum, or anywhere else for that matter. Martin (mbcl), Kate and his sister Hannah lost Alex in the early hours of the morning. He was just eighteen.
Several of you were lucky enough to meet this remarkable young man, as he was nearly as passionate about music as his father is and attended many shows, including RAH. Many of you know that he has been afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy for most of his life. He recently contracted an illness, which led to respiratory complications over the weekend. He was just too weak to come back from it all.
Brave, shy, funny and sweet - Alex was a great gift - an extraordinary inspiration - he taught me much about grace and dignity, honor and strength. Martin is one of my closest friends. It is a devastating loss.
I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-
